Skyfire's Cyclone In The Dark WC

Twister was an amazing puppy! She earned her place here at Skyfire and her name on the very same day. When the puppies were about eight weeks old she was in the puppy yard with her siblings - the grass started waving and all the puppies were attracted to it. They started barking at it and I was just starting to worry that it was a snake when Twister darted in, and came back out with a Sparrow in her mouth. She's been bird crazy ever since!!! We love it!

Twister congrulates son Axle (see below) on his Best In Sweepstakes at the LRC of Canada National Specialty!  Axle also won the 12 - 18 class and was one of four who made the cut in winners.  Axle now has passes toward both his junior hunter and rally titles and recently earned his WC at the PSLRA specialty where he also won open chocolate. 

    

Twister is co-owned with Sarah Fischer of Tynder Labradors.  We met Sarah and Travis through Twister's son Axle (pictured below), and have really enjoyed getting to know them.  Sarah and Travis are the next generation of dog enthusiasts and we are so pleased that we entrusted Axle and now Twister with them.  When Sarah approached me last winter with the thought of training and running Twister in hunt tests I just knew I couldn't say no - Twister loves the birds.  When I saw Twister ruling the roost (and hogging the coach) I just knew I'd made the right decision!  Watch for Twister at upcoming hunt tests and in the conformation ring.  Twister is already major pointed.  Sarah says we might even see her in obedience at some point :)  Here's hoping for a great summer!

As of May - Twister and Sarah are two for two at the hunt tests!  Way to go!  Now a couple of months off to show... and then finish up that JH before planned puppies late summer / early fall.  Mr Right has yet to be detirmined!

     

Twister's first litter was sired by our Alibi in Feb '06 with beautiful black and chocolate puppies.  While we did not keep one of these puppies - we are excited for our friends, Sarah & Travis Fischer of Tynder Labradors with their boy Axle - we  really pleased with how he's growing up!  Many thanks to Sarah for her great photography skills!
