1997 Palomino (Dunalino) Tobiano Mare

Tuesday with her four day dun tobiano colt

Tuesday is a 16 hand palomino tobiano mare who is almost ALL WHITE! Wow..... what a lot of white :) Tuesday is a big pretty mare with a lot of scope. Jessica will be working with Tuesday this coming year and hopes to have her ready to be competitive on the Jr Rodeo circuit for 2006. In the meantime Tuesday has been bred for an April 05 baby to a foundation bred, dun IBHA/AQHA stallion.

When Tuesday shed out her first spring here, on the few inches of backbone not covered in white it sure looked like she had a faint dorsal stripe. With a dun sire and a palomino dam I knew it was very possible that she could carry both genes and be a "dunalino" not just a palomino. Well she proved me right by having an absolutely gorgeous dun tobiano colt May 22, 2003. He's sired by a purebred black Arabian stallion (purebred arabians don't carry the dun gene) so we know that the dun is coming from her, How exciting!!! Raindrop is pictured below.

In May of 2005 Tuesday gave us another wonderful baby.  This one was sired by a dun QH stallion so we certainly weren't surprised when she came out dun.  With two colored foals out of two solid stallions we're beginning to wonder if Tuesday might also be homozagous?  What could be more exciting???
