Ellensburg Liberty Lawn and Garden has generously donated a John Deere X300 (value $2899) to be raffled off June 23rd at Relay For Life.  All proceeds from the raffle will go directly to Relay For Life and all tickets sold by each team go toward that teams fundraising efforts.

I'm proud to the be the leader of this dynamic group of young people!  Not only do most of them carry several 4-H projects, excel at school with good grades and compete on various sporting teams but they are movers and shakers in the community. 

Hot Kids Cool Livestock is primarily a livestock club with goats, swine & steers as projects.  In addition club members are enrolled in everything from leadership, Know Your Government, Veterinary Sciences to Computer Sciences and Scrap booking. 

But mostly I'm just amazed by and proud to be associated with these kids!! 

In 2006 Hot Kids volunteered at:

• Raised over $1450 for Relay for Life at the Kittitas County Fair "Tough Enough To Wear Pink" Day
• Helped Sell over $500 raffle tickets to support the Kittitas County Carcass Incentive Awards program
• the Ellensburg Chamber Rodeo Kick Off Breakfast cleaning tables and serving
• Agriculture Day introducing county third graders to local agriculture
• Dia de Los Ninos booth at Central Washington University
• Adopt a Grand Parent Pen Pals
• Adopted a Garden Node in downtown Ellensburg named Wild Horse
• Adopted a family in the Community Christmas basket

Our teens are leaders in our community by holding roles as County Teen Representitives; President, Secretary, & Reporter of the Kittitas County Teen Committee; appointed to the Washington State 4-H Advisory Board and are actively involved in planning and hosting Teen Rally in the fall of 2007.

This June 22nd & 23rd Hot Kids will have their first team walking in the Kittitas County Relay For Life.  100% of all donations to Relay For Life teams go direct to Cancer research, education, advocacy, and service by reaching out to local community residents.  Few of us have not been touched in one way or another by Cancer.  Please consider sposoring this amazing group of young people while donating money that will go directly to Cancer Research.
